PS
The Name

Why Pink Slide?

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot."

Audrey Hepburn

Pink.

Pink is the color of purity and unconditional love. A nod to a grandmother's warmth and to Audrey Hepburn, a personal hero. The courage to be soft in a world that rewards hardness.

Slide.

A nod to Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park: going back to where it all began and finding something new there. Every book is a slide: a moment of surrender, a rush of trust, a landing you can't predict.

Press.

Because we make things. Real, beautiful, hold-in-your-hands things. Books that are crafted with intention. Stories that stay with you long after the last page.

What We Stand For
01

Craft is sacred

Every book is designed, edited, and produced with the same care an artist gives a canvas.

02

We publish because a story made us feel something, and we believe it will do the same for readers.

03

The door is open

We are committed to amplifying voices that have been underrepresented in publishing.

About · Our Story

The name comes from a place where three things meet.

Pink, because it was always the color. The color of my grandmother's kitchen, where I first learned that love doesn't need to be loud to be felt. The color Audrey Hepburn wore when she told the world, "I believe in pink." Pink is purity. It's tenderness. It's the courage to be soft in a world that rewards hardness.

Slide, because creation is a leap. It's Mac Miller walking back to Blue Slide Park, going back to where it all began and finding something new there. Every book is a slide: a moment of surrender, a rush of trust, a landing you can't predict.

Press, because we make things. Real, beautiful, hold-in-your-hands things. Books that are crafted with intention. Stories that stay with you long after the last page.

Meet the Founder

Every brave story deserves a beautiful home.

Jennifer Gannon founded Pink Slide Press with a simple conviction: that every brave story deserves a beautiful home.

With a background in brand strategy and a lifelong love of books, Jennifer saw a gap in the publishing world. Too many talented writers were falling through the cracks, caught between massive houses that treated manuscripts as products and self-publishing platforms that offered tools but no partnership. She wanted to build something different: a press that treats every book as a work of art and every author as a collaborator.

"I believe the best books are acts of love between a writer and their reader. My job is to make sure that love is honored, from first draft to final cover."

Jennifer Gannon, Founder

What We Stand For

Five things we won't compromise on.

Craft is sacred.

Every book we publish is a made thing, designed, edited, and produced with the same care an artist gives a canvas.

Stories should move you.

We publish because a story made us feel something, and we believe it will do the same for our readers.

The door is open.

We are committed to amplifying voices that have been underrepresented in publishing.

Love the work, love the people.

We treat our authors the way we'd want to be treated. Publishing, at its best, is a lasting relationship.

Be real.

We say what we mean, we stand behind what we publish, and we're not afraid to be vulnerable.

Ready to share your work?

We are actively reading manuscripts in non-fiction, fiction, memoir, poetry, scripts, and children's literature.

Guidelines

What to send us.

Non-Fiction

Query letter, a brief proposal or chapter outline, and a sample chapter. Essays, big ideas, and narrative nonfiction that says something true.

Fiction

Query letter, one-page synopsis, and your first 10 pages. Literary and upmarket fiction, and stories with a strong emotional core, are especially welcome.

Memoir

Query letter, a short synopsis of your story's arc, and your first 10 pages. We're drawn to memoir that's honest, brave, and generous with the reader.

Poetry

Query letter and a sample of 5–10 poems from your collection. Full or partial manuscripts welcome.

Scripts

Query letter, a one-page synopsis, and your first 10 pages. Stage plays and screenplays with heart.

Children's Literature

Query letter and full text for picture books; query, synopsis, and first 10 pages for middle grade and young adult.

"Even if we're not the right home for your book, we'll always treat your work, and you, with the respect you deserve."

Before You Hit Send

A few things that make it easier for you, and for us.

Format your manuscript in 12-point Times New Roman or Garamond, double-spaced, with page numbers and your contact info on the first page.

Submit as a Word document (.doc/.docx) or PDF. No physical mail, please; we read everything digitally.

One submission per project at a time. Send us the version you're proudest of.

Simultaneous submissions to other publishers or agents are welcome. Just let us know if you're offered representation or publication elsewhere so we can step aside.

If AI played a role anywhere in drafting your manuscript, tell us in your cover letter. We ask everyone this, and we're just looking for honesty, not a reason to say no.

We respond to every submission within 90 days. If it's been longer, a polite check-in is always welcome. We'd rather hear from you than have you wonder.

Ready when you are.

If you've written something that matters to you, we want to see it.

In Partnership with The Soul Star Community

"You don't have to be a writer. You just have to have a story. (You do.)"

Two live virtual gatherings where writing becomes medicine. Through guided prompts, breathwork, and the alchemy of pen on paper, you'll give voice to what has gone unspoken, release the stories that no longer serve you, and begin writing new ones in a sacred, supportive circle.
